COVID-19 Protocols and Procedures

New York Center for Ambulatory Surgery will remain in compliance with appropriate guidelines put forth into action approved by the governing body in collaboration with the NYSDOH and CDC with regards to preventing and mitigating the transmission of COVID-19 among staff, patients, and visitors. The center has implemented the following safety guidelines in effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19:

  • We have limited the number of visitors in the waiting room to one per patient.
  • Mandatory cleaning of high touch areas (door knobs, bathrooms, elevator buttons, etc.) at regular intervals during patient care hours.
  • Staff members are to self-monitor daily for the symptoms of COVID-19.
  • FDA approved hand sanitizers and disposable single-use pens will be available throughout the facility.
  • New York State Travel Advisory will be monitored to inform risk stratification of patients who have traveled out of state.
  • CDC COVID-19 Travel Recommendations by Destination will be monitored to inform risk stratification of patients who have traveled outside the country.
  • The ICP Committee will monitor local, State, and Federal guidelines to ensure best practice in preventing and mitigating the spread of COVID-19.
